Commercial & Industrial Construction

Meridian Growers
Dry Ranch Facility

A flagship project for Thomas R. Butler, Inc., the Meridian Growers, Dry Ranch Facility transformed raw, unimproved land into a state-of-the-art pistachio processing plant over a four-year construction program. The scope included full site development and the construction of two separate processing lines, each engineered around an unforgiving constraint: harvest doesn't wait. With "no plan B," every phase had to be completed and operational before the start of each year's harvest season.

The facility houses cutting-edge processing machinery and proprietary techniques unique to the pistachio industry, demanding extreme precision throughout construction with critical dimensions, both horizontal and vertical, held to a fraction of an inch.

Thomas R. Butler, Inc. partnered closely with owners Larry Lowder, Jim Zion, and John Beaulieu from the earliest planning stages through final occupancy, coordinating a large multidisciplinary team of engineers, architects, and specialized design-build vendors. Close collaboration with the County of Madera ensured a smooth path through every regulatory and inspection milestone.

Highly technical in every phase, this project stands as a testament to Thomas R. Butler, Inc.'s ability to deliver complex, mission-critical industrial facilities on time and to exacting specifications.
