Commercial & Industrial Construction

St.James Episcopal Cathedral

Thomas R. Butler, Inc. constructed the "Chapel of the Holy Innocence" at St. James’ Episcopal Cathedral in Fresno, working alongside the design vision of late Fresno architect Lew Litzie. The chapel was intentionally designed to reflect the character of the original building on the historic campus, which was developed in 1959.

A defining feature of the project was the installation of a 100-year-old stained-glass window from the church’s original downtown Fresno location. Thomas R. Butler, Inc. later returned to construct a multi-story, multi-purpose facility featuring classrooms, conference rooms, a cafeteria, basketball and volleyball courts, and a stage, creating flexible space for worship, receptions, community outreach, and large gatherings.
